From its stunning natural surroundings and views, iconic buildings, to its versatile spaces, there’s so much to love about this idyllic location.
We’re here to share some insider tips from a florist’s point of view. Here’s a little list of the floral items that we recommend having at the venue if you are lucky enough to get married at the Stones!
Ceremony Backdrop
Stones offers a stunning open space and an altar table that we can work with inside the chapel, not to mention your options of stunning outdoor spaces that you can also get married at.
Feature ceremony backdrops have always been popular, with many couples choosing to invest in a backdrop that can then be used inside the reception space. Stones chapel is great because it has a large and open, light filled space to work with. Rest assured that we will come back to move the flowers for you, so your day runs seamlessly while you enjoy your day stress free 🥳
I personally also love decorating the altar table too, it’s the original and iconic look to Stones. The alter table arrangements often are transferred to the entrance table of the barn, mirroring what was in the chapel.
Rose petals for petal shower
This may be only a small thing but how many of you have seen the gorgeous photos of petal shower upon chapel exit? Stones is designed for this as it provides a space for you to sneak up to while your guests exits the chapel. Once you come back downstairs, the lovely venue specialists will open the door for your grand exit, all ready for the petal shower. I’ve seen so many incredible photos of this. I think for a small cost of the rose petals, it’s an awesome thing to do, for you and for the guests too
Hanging installation
Where and when else do you and your guests get to sit under a cloud of flowers? The availability of hanging points at Stones of the Yarra Valley is definitely something that we love as a wedding florist.
We can create a central installation to sit above the bridal table, garland installations to create an enchanted garden feel to the room over the guest tables. One thing is for certain – floral hanging installations will always make a stunning impact. They create a romantic atmosphere, set the tone for the space, and fill the air with delightful fragrance that will linger in everyone’s memories for years to come.
We only take a small number of bookings per week, so our team can give you full attention to your wedding. For this reason, we have a minimum spend of $5000 + GST. Most of our Stones weddings fit into the price range of $5500 – 13,000.
