These terms set out how we book, confirm and deliver Sugar Bee Flowers' services. Last updated 1 June 2026.
These terms apply whenever you engage Sugar Bee Flowers — whether for a wedding, a corporate event, an installation, or a shop order placed online. By submitting an enquiry, transferring a deposit, accepting a quote, or completing checkout, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time of booking or order.
We provide bespoke wedding floristry, corporate and event florals, installation work, and shop florals (signature bouquets, seasonal arrangements, bud vases, vase arrangements and statement arrangements). The scope of any individual engagement is set out either in the quote we send you (for bespoke work) or in your order confirmation (for shop florals).
Quotes are valid for seven days from the date of issue. The quote alone does not secure your date — your date is reserved only once your deposit has been received and confirmed.
For weddings, we require a minimum spend of $5,000. A 25% non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit confirms your booking and reserves your date. Some clients prefer to secure a date earlier with a $500 holding deposit, which is later absorbed into the 25%.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding date.
For corporate events, functions and one-off installations, payment terms are set out individually in the quote and may include a deposit and balance schedule appropriate to the scale of work.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. From the moment your deposit clears we hold your date exclusively and decline other enquiries for that date.
If you cancel more than 60 days before your wedding, any payments above the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations within 60 days forfeit any payments made to date, as we will already have committed to seasonal flower orders, growers, and prepared elements on your behalf.
If circumstances require you to postpone your wedding, we will do our best to honour your deposit and apply it to a new date, subject to availability. Postponements within four weeks of the original date may incur additional costs for flowers and elements already procured.
For weddings and bespoke events, some pieces — including ceremony stands and arches, large vessels, candle holders, hanging hardware and other installation elements — remain the property of Sugar Bee Flowers and are collected after pack-down. These pieces must be returned in the condition supplied; damaged, broken or unreturned items will be invoiced at their replacement cost.
This applies only to wedding and bespoke event work. Vases purchased through our shop are yours to keep (see Part B below).
Full payment is required at the time of order through our online checkout. We deliver bouquets Tuesday through Saturday. Event florals (bud vases, vase arrangements, flat arrangements and statement arrangements) require a minimum of 3 days notice. We are closed 23 December – 4 January each year, and orders for dates in that window are not accepted.
Bud vases (sold in a minimum order of three) and the clear cylinder 12 × 12 cm vases that accompany our vase arrangements are yours to keep as a keepsake — they are included in the purchase price. Statement arrangements remain installation pieces and are collected by Sugar Bee Flowers after the event (see Part A).
We deliver across the Yarra Valley and select Melbourne areas. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your postcode. Where a postcode falls outside our standard delivery zones, you'll see a "no shipping available" message — please get in touch and we'll let you know whether we can accommodate a custom delivery.
You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and ensuring safe access at the delivery time. Where delivery cannot be completed because access is not available, we may leave florals at a safe nearby location or return them to our studio, in which case a re-delivery fee may apply.
Shop orders are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once placed at checkout. From the moment your order is confirmed, we begin sourcing the seasonal flowers required to fulfil it, and your payment covers that work as much as the finished arrangement.
If you need to change the delivery date after ordering, contact us as early as possible at info@sugarbeeflowers.com.au. Date changes are accommodated at our discretion based on how close we are to your original delivery date.
If something has gone wrong with the order itself — damage in delivery, not as described, or florals that haven't lasted as we would expect — see Perishable goods below.
Fresh florals are perishable and cannot be returned in the conventional sense. If you receive an order that is not as described, has been damaged in delivery, or has not lasted as we would expect for fresh florals cared for as recommended, please contact us within 24 hours with a photograph and we will work with you to put it right — typically by replacing the affected stems or arrangement, or refunding the relevant portion of your order. This does not limit any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.
Floral availability is seasonal. The flowers shown in mood boards, examples and product photography indicate a style and palette rather than a guarantee of specific stems. We may substitute individual flowers where necessary to maintain the agreed look, and we'll always aim to preserve the overall design intent.
Fresh florals naturally contain pollen, scents and trace amounts of plant matter that can cause reactions in people with sensitivities. If you, anyone receiving the florals as a gift, or guests at your event have known severe allergies (particularly to lilies, eucalyptus, hyacinths or specific pollens), please tell us at the time of booking and we will design around those flowers wherever possible. We can't guarantee a fully allergen-free arrangement, but we will do our best to work with what you tell us.
Where we are unable to deliver due to events beyond our reasonable control — extreme weather, natural disaster, illness, public health restrictions, supplier failure or comparable events — we will work with you to reschedule or substitute. Where neither is possible, our liability is limited to the value of services not yet performed.
We may photograph our own floral work at events and weddings. These images may be used on our website, social media, in print and in submissions to publications. We will not photograph guests or the wedding party other than incidentally, and we will not publish identifiable personal details. If you would prefer we did not use images from your wedding publicly, let us know in writing before the day and we will respect that.
How we collect and use any personal information you share with us is set out in our Privacy Policy.
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability for any claim arising out of our services or shop orders is limited to the amount you have paid for those services or that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
